Now offering in-person Beginner ASL Level 1 at DILA, starting October 21 and running through November 20. Classes will be held at DILA, located at 806 Snow Hill Rd, Salisbury, Maryland.
Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the exception of November 11 when we will be closed for Veterans' Day.
In this five-week course (nine classes total), students will learn basic signs to engage in simple conversations with Deaf individuals. The course incorporates role-playing and games as effective tools for teaching basic signs and includes lessons on Deaf culture.
By the end of the class, you will have learned skills such as the manual alphabet, numbers, how to introduce yourself, and how to exchange personal information.
