Cambridge Man Charged with Obstruction Following Washington Street Incident

Cambridge, MD - The Cambridge Police Department issued a criminal summons to a local resident following an incident that occurred earlier this month on Washington Street.


Dequan Amir Jackson, 22, of Cambridge, Maryland, was served with the summons on September 23, 2025, at approximately 1:33 p.m. Jackson faces charges of obstructing and hindering in connection with events that transpired on September 9, 2025.


The charges stem from an incident in the 400 block of Washington Street. Cambridge Police Department officers responded to reports of a disturbance at approximately 7:42 p.m. that evening.


During the investigation, Jackson arrived at the scene despite not being involved in the original disturbance.

According to police reports, Jackson's actions at the location hindered officers from performing their duties.


Following the incident, Cambridge Police Department officers applied for charges against Jackson.
