Downtown Sewer Line Work This Saturday in Salisbury, Maryland

SALISBURY, MD - The City of Salisbury's Department of Infrastructure and Development has announced that downtown sewer line maintenance will continue this Saturday, September 27, 2025. The contractor will complete the remaining phases of the cleaning, inspection, and smoke testing project.


The work scheduled for Saturday includes smoke testing throughout the entire project area. This testing will cover E. Market Street, W. Market Street, Poplar Hill Avenue, Baptist Street, and Calvert Street between Baptist Street and Poplar Hill Avenue.


Additionally, crews will perform sewer cleaning and CCTV inspection work on Baptist Street between E. Main Street and E. Market Street. Camden Street will also receive similar cleaning and inspection services during this phase.


The city will follow the same notification procedures used in earlier project phases. An updated notification letter will be distributed to all affected businesses in the work areas. Fire and police departments will receive advance notification of the scheduled activities.
