Easton Police Arrest 58-Year-Old Man for Walmart Theft

EASTON, MD - Officers from the Easton Police Department responded to a theft in progress at Walmart on September 20, 2025, at approximately 8:30 am. Police received a description of the suspect and were notified that the individual had left the store before their arrival.
Law enforcement located and identified the suspect as William C. Ferebee, a 58-year-old man of no fixed address. Investigation revealed that Ferebee had pushed a shopping cart containing merchandise past all points of sale and exited the building.
Walmart staff confronted Ferebee outside the store, at which point he surrendered the cart and left the premises. The abandoned cart contained approximately $245 worth of merchandise.
During the arrest, officers discovered that Ferebee was in possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center and charged with theft and drug paraphernalia possession.
Authorities also served Ferebee with an unrelated arrest warrant during the booking process.
