Easton Woman Arrested Following Domestic Dispute Investigation

EASTON, MD - Officers from the Easton Police Department responded to a domestic dispute on Will Street that resulted in assault charges against a local resident.
The incident occurred on September 21, 2025, when police were called to the 29000 block of Will Street in Easton, Maryland. Officers arrived to investigate reports of a dispute involving Catherine Banos, a 59-year-old Easton resident.
Banos displayed uncooperative behavior during the initial police response. Her conduct was described as loud and disorderly at times. Statements made during the encounter prompted officers to investigate potential assault allegations.
The police investigation revealed evidence of two separate assault incidents. Both assaults occurred within 48 hours prior to the police response. The victim showed visible signs of injury when officers conducted their examination.
Following the completion of their investigation, officers arrested Banos on assault charges. She was subsequently transported to the Talbot County Detention Center for processing.
Banos was later released on a $2,000 unsecured personal bond.
