Lincoln Man Shot During Home Invasion

LINCOLN, DE - Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday morning in Lincoln, Delaware.


The incident took place on September 18, 2025, at approximately 6:21 a.m. Troopers from the Delaware State Police were dispatched to a home in the 29000 block of Fleatown Road in Lincoln, Delaware, following a report of a shooting.


According to the preliminary investigation, an unknown suspect gained entry to the residence through an unsecured door. The suspect then shot a 66-year-old male resident in the chest as he was sleeping. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.


The investigation is active and ongoing, led by the Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit. Detectives are asking for the public's help with any information regarding this case.
