MAN WITH SEVEN WARRANTS EXTRADITED BACK TO MARYLAND; HELD WITHOUT BOND

CAROLINE COUNTY, MD - On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Todd Hockensmith was extradited from Delaware to Caroline County, Maryland, where he was served with seven active warrants from the Caroline County District and Circuit Courts.

The warrants are connected to a series of burglaries and thefts that took place in the fall of 2023. The charges include Violation of Probation, Burglary First, Second, and Fourth Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property, and Theft Scheme of $25,000 to under $100,000.

Other charges consist of Motor Vehicle Unlawful Taking, Rifle/Shotgun Possession by a Disqualified Person, and numerous traffic offenses, including Eluding Law Enforcement.

After being processed at the Caroline County Sheriff's Office, Hockensmith was brought before a Caroline County District Court Commissioner. He was ordered to be held without bond and has been remitted to the custody of the Caroline County Detention Center.
