Motorcycle Crash Claims The Life of Dover Man and Sends Two Others to Shock Trauma

CENTREVILLE, MD - A fatal two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle is under investigation by the Maryland State Police. The incident occurred late Saturday night in Queen Anne's County, Maryland.
At approximately 11:22 p.m. on September 20, 2025, troopers from the Maryland State Police Centreville Barrack were dispatched to the area of northbound U.S. Route 301 and Hayden Clark Road in Centreville following a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a SUV.
The operator of the motorcycle, identified as Marcus Dangerfield, 20, of Dover, Delaware, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second vehicle, a GMC Acadia, was occupied by two individuals. The 45-year-old male driver was transported by ambulance to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. A 38-year-old female passenger was airlifted to the same facility by the Maryland State Police Aviation Command.
According to the preliminary investigation, the GMC was traveling east on Hayden Clark Road and attempting to cross the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 301 when it was struck by the motorcycle. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
Northbound U.S. Route 301 was closed for over two hours while authorities processed the scene. The Church Hill Fire Department, Queen Anne's County emergency medical services, and the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration provided assistance.
The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the active and ongoing investigation.
