Structure Fire Reported in Delmar, Maryland

Delmar, MD - On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at approximately 3:28 PM, a structure fire broke out in the 29000 block of Foskey Lane on the Maryland side of Wicomico County.

The incident involved a 60' by 80' pole barn owned by King Farms and Mulch. The fire caused an estimated $1,000 in damage to the structure and an additional $500 to its contents.

The Delmar Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) was the primary responding agency, deploying 15 firefighters to the scene. They were able to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes of their arrival.

The blaze was discovered by a passerby, and the area of origin was determined to be on the exterior of the building. The preliminary cause of the fire is still under investigation.

This incident has been classified as a single-alarm fire, and no further updates are available at this time.
