Virginia Man Arrested for Second-Degree Assault

Cambridge, MD - On September 19, 2025, officers from the Cambridge Police Department arrested a Virginia man in connection with an assault.
At approximately 12:50 p.m., police responded to a call on the 100 block of Washington Street in Cambridge, Maryland.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated they had been assaulted by 24-year-old Christopher Michael Orengo of Gladys, Virginia.
According to the report, the victim and Orengo had been arguing. The assault allegedly occurred while Orengo was searching for a dog that had run off.
The victim reported that Orengo pulled them by the hair, causing them to fall to the ground. Officers on the scene observed signs of injury on the victim.
Orengo was placed under arrest and transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing. He was charged with one count of second-degree assault and was later released on his own personal recognizance.
