Wicomico County Task Force Conducts Alcohol Compliance Checks

Wicomico County, MD - The Wicomico County Alcohol Task Force conducted routine compliance checks of licensed alcohol establishments on October 2, 2025. The multi-agency task force includes representatives from the Wicomico County Liquor License Department, Maryland State Police, Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, and Salisbury Police Department.
Sixteen licensed establishments underwent inspection during the compliance operation. Fourteen businesses successfully passed the compliance check without violations.
These establishments demonstrated proper adherence to alcohol sales regulations and age verification procedures. The passing establishments included various business types across Wicomico County.
Convenience stores such as Riverside Market on Riverside Drive and Price Check on West Road met compliance standards.
Restaurant establishments including MoMo Craft Pizza, Savour, and VooDoo Brew Pub also passed inspection.
Additional businesses that met requirements ranged from grocery stores to specialty markets throughout Salisbury, Pittsville, and Fruitland. All businesses are listed below:

Two establishments failed to meet compliance standards during the inspection. Smoking Monster BBQ on South Salisbury Boulevard and Croco's on South Salisbury Boulevard allegedly sold alcoholic beverages to persons under 21 years of age.
The Board of License Commissioners may order these establishments to appear for formal hearings regarding the alleged violations.
Officers from the Task Force will file charges against clerks who allegedly sold alcohol to underage individuals. The compliance check operation represents ongoing efforts to ensure licensed establishments follow state and local alcohol sales regulations.
